Last Day to Save 3K

Last Day to Save 3K

Child care costs families $20,000 a year per kid — and often more. Families with kids under 6 years old are 2X more likely to leave NYC.

But instead of investing in child care, Mayor Adams wants to cut $170 million to our universal and free 3-K program — that’s more than 10,000 seats that won’t be available anymore. After promising that every family with a 3 year old will get an accessible seat, thousands of families did not get one — while many got seats that were way too far away to use.

The Mayor and City Council are negotiating the budget right now. RSVP for our last chance to say:

  • “NO” to $170 Million in Cuts

  • Make 3K Truly Universal and Free for All!

  • Keep Working and Middle Class Families in NYC!

Strategy Meeting (On Zoom)

RSVP to Join the Fight to Save 3-K and Pre-K !

The cost of living in NYC continues to rise, making it increasingly challenging for families to thrive. As if that wasn't enough, the Mayor's proposed cuts to the 3-K and Pre-K programs are now threatening the very foundation of affordable early childhood education in our city.

To combat these detrimental cuts and ensure the availability of child care, we have to get organized. Join us on Monday, 3/25 at 8 PM for a virtual strategy meeting where we will strategize on how to preserve our 3-K and Pre-K programs and advocate for universal child care in NYC.

During the meeting, we will delve into the city budget process, explore effective advocacy tactics, and brainstorm ways to raise awareness about our cause.

RSVP to join! We’ll email you the zoom link closer to the meeting

Rally: Fight the Mayor's Budget Cuts

New York’s growing affordability crisis is pushing working and middle-class families out of our city. As more and more New Yorkers struggle to afford skyrocketing rents, childcare, and healthcare costs, now is the time for the City to invest in the services and infrastructure that will make our city more livable.

Join New Yorkers United for Child Care, the Progressive Caucus and a broad coalition of advocates as we push back on the Mayor’s drastic cuts to 3K, Pre-K and rally for alternative measures that balance fiscal responsibility with the urgent need to invest in New York City’s working and middle class communities.
