MORE INFORMATION:
Every day across America, families are struggling with care. From child care, to paid leave, to aging and disability care, parents, caregivers and our loved ones struggle to find and afford care. And, yet, they find a way. Care Can’t Wait partners will travel across the country to hear and shine a light on their stories, and to make sure they know they are not alone, that there are solutions. And now is the time; we are the generation to make those solutions a reality. Millions of Americans are going without the care that they need, and in the meantime family caregivers are sandwiched and pressed to fill in the gaps. The CCWC bus tour will spend 6 days traveling the country, visiting diverse communities with stops in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina and Georgia to learn, share and inspire action.
Goals:
Highlight the care stories, the true cost of care and priorities of people and voters across America
Underscore the need to make care AFFORDABLE
Bring historic local and national media attention to care stories and the care agenda
Popularize solutions to the care crisis
Elevate the Care Voter Guide for educating voters
